Title of the thread feels like click bait as this information, while a good data point, is very far from 'confirmed'. We might not even get a real confirmation at the March unveiling.

I took from the quotes around the word 'confirmed' that there was a hitch to the post. I don't think it was misleading at all.

As far as the post goes, I intend to start frequenting my local Tesla gallery as well. It will be interesting what they have to say in anticipation of the Model ≡ reveal.

True but that credit is phased out over several quarters AFTER the 200,000 is reached. OTOH most people buying a Model 3 won't have enough taxes to reach the $7500 anyway. It is a credit afterall.

Also, the 200,000 is US sales -- sales to other parts of the world don't count toward the total.

That is indeed what I tried to convey with my quotation marks. Since the information wasn't coming from Tesla's PR/Marketing team, but rather a product specialist in the gallery of a flyover state, it seemed appropriate.
