Confirmed Model Y scheduled delivery

Sooo, came across this interesting bit today from a reddit user who is claiming Tesla had called him to arrange delivery of his Model Y. In his statement, it seems Tesla was trying to up sale him to a performance to get sooner delivery.

That same post was made on this forum as well. Seems unlikely as it is in Canada and no one in the U.S. has heard anything and they would likely be the first to get delivery.

Ya I saw that also and chimed in on Reddit. although I want to believe, I too am in Ontario Canada and ordered the AWD with FSD so I would think that I would have received a similar call ... yet my phone hasn't rang yet. Again, I would love for this to be true as I'm itching to get my new car ... but alas, no call yet

that's not a 'confirmed scheduled delivery' in any case. i am hoping as much as anybody, but that call was probably more about an upsell or solar sale. someone else got one of those too a few days ago. no real info, just wanted to know if he was interested in solar.

I emailed my friend who worked in Fremont Tesla as sale representative during the weekend, response was he cannot give out details, but Y definitely gonna to be delivered locally first, and numbers are very limited in March.

yes, when they are starting seems certain. it's how many they are making and how many pre-orders there are that is in question now.

People need to temper their expectations on delivery in March. Elon was very clear in the 4th Qtr call that there would be "LIMITED" deliveries in March. I bet they won't even get up to 1000/wk until sometime in late spring/early summer. Gonna be some really disappointed folks out there.

There is also a distance issue, since this future owner is in the Toronto area.
In order to maximize Q1 deliveries, Tesla will ship product to the NorthEast and then the East before making deliveries closer to home.
