Confused about range + wheel size

On the PY you have 315 mile range. With the PY and the further Performance option you go to the 21 inch wheels and range drops to 280 miles so 35 mile penalty for the bigger wheels. Based on Tesla MY configurator.

If the spoked wheels in that photo (somebody clean that car! ) are the Geminis, they would look awesome painted black on "my" red "chrome-delete" Y! Now we just need the caps for the 5 bolts and the center...
I agree that they would look great painted. I'm debating whether having them painted is better than just going with the 20" induction wheels. I can't decide if my cheap side is stronger than my lazy side.

Those are ET35

I think the evidence in every sighted Model Y so far points to the wheels I have posted. There are the same number of spokes and roughly the same shape over all so the covers will still fit. I don't see Tesla sending out a bunch of tester cars with wheels they wont produce.

These are likely ET40.

Both fit the same Gemini covers.

I agree they both fit the same covers, but what will be under the covers when model Y is delivered?
I agree with you and expect the twin-spoke wheels are coming on the Model Y. The solid-spoke wheels have the ET35 offset specifically for the Model 3 Performance/Perf Upgrade, to accommodate the different rotor hat thickness.
