Well that was a crappy link... I'm not sure about the ethical nature of sharing a subscription site.. but this how about the overview with scores?

Cost for a 1 month subscription was only $6.95, well worth it to read the whole road test report. Wow, best score ever in the Luxury Sedan category! Stock should do well today...

For those who don't want to subscribe to Consumer Reports (or can't because you shorted TSLA :) ) - here is a CNNMoney report on the Consumer Report article:

    http://money.cnn.com/2013/05/09/autos/tesla-model-s-consumer-reports/

The only reason the Model S didn't earn a perfect score was that it needs time to recharge. Depending on price, the Model S has driving range of between 208 and 265 miles. A full charge takes about six hours from an ordinary 240 volt outlet, according to Tesla.
"If it could recharge in any gas station in three minutes, this car would score about 110," said Jake Fisher, head of auto testing for Consumer Reports.

Fun. The article still has in big bold letters near the top:
EMBARGOED UNTIL 6AM THURSDAY MAY 9

Are there no editors left in this world?

We always wait for someone like CR to reaffirm what we already know to be true.

They couldn't yet give their recommendation due to a few factors, but this is still HUGE! The short-sellers have GOT to be running for the exits now, no doubt about it.

Watch the video - starts out with "This car performs better than anything we ever tested before. Let me repeat that, not just the best electric car, but the best car."

That CNN story about the CR test results is more good coverage. Go Tesla! Hopefully, we will see an epic short-squeeze today...

0-60 in 5.6s? doesn't the 60kWhr do it in that and the regular 85 in ~ 5 seconds?

    decent review

This is a big deal. Anyone that is buying a car in the segment now knows that they can't make a decision to buy a BMW, Merc, or Porche without first taking a test drive in a Model S. And, thanks to Elon, we now know that 25% of test drives turn into a sale.

Everyone who was a part of the "Get Amped Tour" knew this could happen, but you never know when you start full scale production. This external validation is exciting because CR usually doesn't have high regard for expensive cars. It's one more piece of data that is going to generate millions in earned (free) media. That's important because there are still a lot of folks who still don't know Tesla, hard as that may be for me to grasp.

Consumer Reports: Tesla Model S is the best car we've ever tested.

    AnOutsider: Tesla Model S sucks.
