You'll also note they pointed out with the S-P85D being a car that costs over $125,000, the typical buyer is more likely someone concerned with buying "the best available car", as opposed to a buyer being the regular guy commuting to his day job. Again, we know these are generalizations, and there are always exceptions.

This is the interesting bit. They are associating the price of the car with driving patterns and values.

This is another generalization that Tesla is shattering.

Just because the exotic ICE cars in this price range tend to be secondary impractical weekend show-off cars, does not mean the same behaviors or values apply to Tesla and its buyers. If they spent a little time on forums like this, understanding the buyers, they would see that things are different.

I see people stretching to buy this car because it truly is the future today, a rethink of the car, shaking up the industry, American ingenuity, saving the planet, with every intent of it being their daily driver.
