Just got this e-mail today: Hello Jason, I hope all is well. I wanted to touch base with you regarding your current Model S order as we have added a new option! You can now opt to add Tesla Paint Armor, a 3M paint protection film designed to maintain your vehicles exterior beauty. The Paint Armor will be placed in areas most susceptible to road debris and scratches, and areas that see the most wear, like the charge port. We also want to inform you that we have decided to discontinue our Banana Leaf décor accent and replace it with a similar Obeche Wood décor. Banana Leaf unfortunately was not holding up during stress testing while Obeche Wood, an attractive, natural wood with a similar vertical grain, is supported by excellent durability. With these changes, we will need to speak with you as soon as possible to confirm your order. We cannot submit your order for production until we have confirmed your options. Kind regards, Matt Aldridge |Product Specialist
I don't think Tesla prod specialists are shy; they've been only too happy to answer any queries at all.
I agree. As there is no guideline for this on the forum I didn't change the startpost, but I'd personally opt for leaving his e-mail address + telephone number out of the startpost.
I agree - I removed Matt's email and phone numbers. If a forum member put their info out there, I'd probably remove it & then pm them, asking if they really wanted it that public. If yes, I'd put it back. But this was an email communication to a reservation holder. If Matt (or Tesla) decides to make his contact information public, then I'd leave it alone.
+1. Thanks Bonnie. BTW, the subject of the thread was already covered over here: It's Time to Build Your Model S
