Contacted by Tesla store in different state

I received a call from a sales agent at a Tesla store not even in my state several days after placing my order. The agent recommended I complete all tasks including financing on my profile in order to be paired with a VIN quickly.

I did so, but with the 4-8 week lead time I find it kind of strange that they recommended completing the financing application at this time. I also find it strange that the call came from a store in the PNW when I live in the mountain west.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Where did the call come from? Are you sure it was a store? Most of the calls come from the call center in Las Vegas.

Yeah, I'm sure it was a store because I screened the call and then returned it.

In CT but CT deliveries go to Mt. Kisco NY... RI store called me to make sure my stuff was done (did it in March but financing expired). The salesman was calling off of a long list of numbers. Wanted to move me to RI but then found out that they do all of CT to NY for sales tax reasons (RI collects sales tax in full and you need to apply for a refund)

Since they all work for Tesla HQ it doesn't seem odd that they would pool resources, maybe your local SC has more orders and needs help with contacting people. Tesla wants to deliver as many cars as possible before Q2 end.
