I just noticed this today. My 21 SR+ LFP w/ 11,500 miles has no cap on the reservoir. Is this normal?

It's easy to find. Open your frunk and remove the panel on top of your windshield fluid reservoir. Then find the HVAC Air intake look under and the coolant reservoir should be visible. I discovered mine without a cap.Where is this? How did you find this?
Definitely, I mean I would have never noticed it until I decided to install this screen for the HVAC Air intake.guess this needs to be added to the checklist for stuff to look for when taking delivery too...

I hope so. There was another guy on Fb who took delivery of his 22 LR that had the same issue. He said mobile service checked the coolant level and said it was normal and installed the cap.hope tesla makes it right
Thanks!!
I'm hoping it did prevent contamination. I have to take to the SC but I want mobile service to check the level first and install the cap before I drive 2 hrs to the SC. It wasn't empty and never got the " Low Coolant" warning.shouldn't this still be under warranty? Assuming by your avatar and caption, that you have a 21 LFP SR+ so it should make some sense, yes? Also I think the cover could've protected against some level of contamination - I'm guessing. Was it empty?
