The desire to take responsibility and protecting one's own life. The proliferation of gun is another type of uncontrolled proliferation. What do you thing is the urge to own a gun?
Great, so now we're back to blaming video games? That was a ridiculous excuse in the '90s and it's still a ridiculous excuse today. The problem is kids who don't have a structured household to teach them right from wrong. If your kids know the difference between right and wrong then video games and movies don't matter.Trust you me, these people will behave nothing in the 1930ies, once the game console addicted moderately obese young adult male's hand-to-mouth needs remain unsatisfied, social unrest is set to follow, and the examples from their online fantasy world abound.
I have a gun and I am disappointed the government is not bigger. If everyone would educate themselves and go vote we would be not be afraid of our government. During the 2009 to 2012 period there were a number of home invasions within 2 blocks of my house. I wonder if I will see stuff like this again? The economic conditions seem to be right for it.The government is becoming "bigger" as a result of the coronavirus. While it may be argued that this intervention from the government is needed to mitigate the effects of the coronavirus, many people are paranoid and suspicious of the government. This group of people may buy guns to protect themselves. Plus it kind of looks like "the end of the world" so better safe than sorry.
I guess you don't read the news much then. This "Stimulus Bill" includes a $2.2 TRILLION price tag with only about $290 billion going to the $1,200 & $500 stimulus checks. That's nearly $2 TRILLION to other government programs and most of which have nothing to do with the Coronavirus at all. Most Federal Gov't programs increased in budget/size by 50-400% thanks to this bill. The best part is that BOTH parties voted for it. Everyone got their pet projects funded and the US citizen will foot the bill out of fear. Talk about never letting a good crisis going to waste. For me, I want less government. We can do better with our tax dollars in far more efficient ways. The answer is never more government... whatever the question.I have a gun and I am disappointed the government is not bigger. I own a semi-auto shotgun due to the general population not the government.
For folks that have guns due to the government I have a question. It's 2 am in the morning and a drone launches a Hellfire missile at your house, which gun do you grab?
The problem you described is too much corporate lobby influence not big government. Do you trust corporations - serious question?I guess you don't read the news much then. Well it looks like all the other gun owners took all the buckshot. Buying a Benelli M4 was easy. Ammo, nope. And make no mistake, the hardcore in the DNC wants to take all three from you, not just your guns, and are whittling away at all three.

I'll give you my toilet paper when you pry it from my cold, dead hands.
In a true catastrofe those that are armed will be better prepared to defend themselves when the *sugar* hits the fan. Law enforcement will be overwhelmed or fail to come to work. The last few disasters have proven it.
But owning isn't enough, you need to practice with that weapon.
I have to qualify every 6 months to carrier on the job.
Yep, I’d know exactly where to get guns and ammo then.If homeowners were required to post a sign on their house, indicating gun owner/non-gun owners, they would immediately understand the value of being armed.
... What do you thing is the urge to own a gun?
