Instead of giving EV State Rebates which each state struggles with how much that will cost them, I think certain states that vote for green initiatives will instead have such funds go to funding roads driven by EV's ; as opposed to having higher registration costs for EV's.
Right now the batteries are too expensive and the cars cost too much for full adoption ; having increased registration fees on top of that will really hamper the technology adoption ; in the US at least.
Yes, exactly on the adoption. The federal and state tax incentives are decreasing or are gone. People won't bite if taxes are actually increased on EVs. That would be a shame.
