Could 1 Pedal Driving lead to 'Unintended Acceleration' incidents?

i miss the 1 pedal driving of my BMW i3 (which has a strong regen braking) and wish we could have stronger regen in ths model s once you have driven like that for a while you wont want to go back plus sides are the energy is never wasted in braking ( nad you never wear pads out) and the energy to slow you down goes back to the battery...

My understanding is that the BMW fakes it below a certain speed (probably 7 km/h) and so uses more energy. Also, if the friction brakes aren't exercised regularly, they may not work at peak performance when you need them.
