Do you think Tesla was becoming too mainstream and they didn't want the regular driver to be on the road a lot of regen and causing accidents

Thought years ago they played with regen because it was coming in too hard too fast and hurting the gearbox. Thought they just gave it a soft start.

Teslas have no gearbox...
That’s not correct, I was told you need to change the gearbox oil at 150k miles.Teslas have no gearbox.
