The Tesla Roadster Comes To Minneapolis...Our Tesla Roadster Sport is here! 0 - 60 in 3.7 sec... and it uses NO gas. Electrifying performance! Buy a car... and drive our Tesla supercar FREE for a day (some restrictions apply)...
Wow, maybe it is not legit as it is listed with only 1300 miles!
I called him and he said he just guessed on the mileage. He might take less than the opening bid! He asked for an offer less, I offered him 65K and he said no. I got the feeling he would accept 75K.
If only I could import that sucker into Canada...
Is that fundamentally impossible for some reason?
And a question: Are there any members out there who've bought pre-owned Roadsters and are planning to claim the tax rebate? My understanding is that the wording of it is all very unspecific and you could legitimately do this even if you're not buying the car new.
Perhaps something is odd, the same VIN was listed here with 1700 miles:
2010 Tesla Sport for sale in Eden Prairie MN from Eurocarsus – New York Times
The list needs to be updated & changed...whilst some U.S. gassers might require substantial work to allow them to be imported into Canada, a BEV would require just a few changes & software upgrades (comparatively).
I think it is to the consumer's advantage to have the North American auto market viewed as one...I guess that is not so for vehicle manufacturers...
Sadly, production of the Roadster is now winding down. Tesla recently ordered the components it needs for another 100 Roadsters, 80 of which are for the UK market and 20 for the rest of Europe.
Sorry, but Section 1141 of the ARRA says that it has to be a new car. They are trying to encourage manufacturers to build new ones; they don't want the cars to keep changing hands afterwards. And a question: Are there any members out there who've bought pre-owned Roadsters and are planning to claim the tax rebate? Yeah, one of the (many) reasons I was dissuaded from buying a used Roadster was that I'd have to pay the full sales tax on it.
