Ugh, Idda loved that offer considering the logistical nightmare I had in scheduling off and driving my ass in a 1 way rental 18 hrs straight from FL to NY (cant fly for med reasons) ...then right back..and still waiting for the title! (Purchased 10/16)
But I woulda also backflipped my way from FL to NY if I had to.....just to pop that Tesla cherry :) no regrets...

That's what I'm hoping too, the wait seems unbearable and the delays make it worse.
I'm kinda in the same boat....I have a very empty feeling I've been dealing with since I had to drop her off 100 miles away 2 weeks ago for some custom work....I drove it for 6 weeks (right about when I was reaching my comfort level driving and operating it)....then gave her up....anxious as hell to get it back....fking love that car!
It's tough....I feel ya!

I ordered my CPO Dec. 8 and still don't have a delivery date. The car is in California and I'm in Texas. The pictures were sent fast and I'm ok with the damage considering it was 33.4k. Pictures in the dropbox link...

Questions, has anyone had any success getting a loaner while they wait? The rep I spoke to today I needed to pay the remaining balance in mytesla account, but I don't see any balance in there. I've already sent financing to telsa, but I guess I still owe them tilting, ect? I'd love to have this car before Christmas, but things aren't looking too good.
Beautiful car and I think it's a great price. They will ship it for you for $2,000. Don't count on your Tesla account to be up to date. Call your delivery specialist and find out the balance so you can pay it. Let us know how it goes.

OP: Thank you for the post and updates. I ordered my CPO on Saturday 12/15. Was contacted by the Used Car Sales guy on Monday, 12/17 and by the Delivery Specialist on Wednesday 12/19. The car is supposedly local, so we'll see how long this total process takes. I was quoted on Wednesday by the DS 7-10 business days.

Seems like a pretty good turn around. I'll be out in Seattle for the holidays so hopefully I'll see you driving by.

UPDATE December 21, 2018

PICKUP DAY!!

OR NOT

Tesla just called and the car isn't ready. They tried to push the time 3hrs later but I have to go back to work so I'm going to try again tomorrow.

Delivery specialist said that you have to flexible when you purchase a used Tesla "hurry up and wait". He chuckled. I didn't. He apologized.

Hurry up and wait applies to all Tesla's as we know. Not just the used ones, and am I supposed to be treated like second class because I'm purchasing CPO?

I didn't say that to him. Took the high road.

I'll continue to keep everyone posted.

Took delivery of mine this morning, car looked great minus a minor door ding that can be popped out. Other than that a few very small scratches but nothing bad. Car came with two FOBs. The guy who gave me the basics I would say is very new and didn’t do a great job going over the basics. Luckily I had reviewed every video I could so i already knew the basics.
The car is a pure joy to drive. I have a jaguar and this by miles is more fun and responsive to drive. The torque to start or speed up is like nothing I have ever experienced, I am one happy tesla owner.

I ordered my CPO today. All documents are uploaded and complete. I was told the car is in the Orlando area (about 3 hours from me) and should be ready for pickup in a week. Wish me luck! There were no closeup photos at all so I'm hoping there aren't any scratches, dings, dents, etc. Spoke with sales person before purchase and then an hour after and he said that no extra photos is a good thing. Hope so!

Sounds about as frustrating as my experience so far.
i am also in NY and awaiting a pickup date. I was told today that there is still no ETA for my car to arrive in Mt. Kisco and that they are looking for the title. how do you not know where the title is to a car?!

small update to my car. i was just informed by my DS that my car is arriving to the service center tonight, but still no update on the title.

So from what I can tell, all of these title problems are because Tesla is selling lease returns that they haven't gotten the title from the leasing company yet. I suspect (although I'm not 100% sure) that other companies that sell lease returns sit on them until they have the titles in hand. What bugs me is that it takes so long for the titles to come from the leasing bank. Ours took almost 60 days. I too had to get an extension on my temp tags. It all worked out, but it was a pain. Hopefully the joy of having the car will displace the disgust of the title problems. BTW- my car had a minor problem with one of the wheel well liners, Tesla took care of it no questions asked. My only real disappointment was that the tires were just above 4/32 and they didn't replace them, I drove about 1000 miles and replaced them at Costco for a good price.

You nailed it.... lease returns... tesla just notified me they are finally getting the title from the bank....itll probably be 90 days by the time a real plate goes on..

I'm tired of no one calling or writing me back, ordered 12/8 and still no sight of delivery date. Car hasn't even moved from California. How do I pull the plug and get my deposit back?

This is just a bad time to buy a CPO car unfortunately as they are doing everything they can to sell NEW cars and clear that inventory. They treat customers who buy CPO cars awfully on a good day but at the end of the year and the end of the quarter they care even less.

If I were you, I'd ask for my money back and look to buy a CPO car early next year. Pricing is almost guaranteed to be better and they just might treat you less awfully as well...

That's what I plan on doing, just hope to not have a hard time getting my deposit back.
