I haven't seen my car, 13 P85+, yet, but was told it was in grade A condition. The prior deposit I had on a 2012 p85 all black was a B.

My car is located in California, no dirt lot that I know of per google maps. 1wk went by with Chris Harrison as my DS, and I never heard a peep from him, after several voicemails and emails I left him. I called and complained to my CPO advisor and got a different DS who reached out to me within 30 minutes of the switch. My purchase order should come early this week, so I can have my credit union send payment over.

So far I'm not happy with this process, but I hope this car is worth it. I'm definitely leaving my comfort zone t get into a car I don't know if I'll be backward on or not after a year if I decide to sell it.

I'm also at 22 days, for a car in Florida going to Seattle. I was told to expect 4-6 weeks from the beginning, but I'm thinking it'll be 6-8 when it's all done. (I'm holding out hope that Tesla will want to deliver as many vehicles as possible before end of June so they can book the revenue this quarter.) My DS in Seattle has been great so far, responsive to any email, but I told myself I would only check in once per week for status so I don't drive myself and my DS crazy. MyTesla doesn't really say anything other than June to early July delivery. Secured financing with Alliant and they contacted the DS directly. Inspection was to occur in FL with reconditioning in Seattle, then delivery...

I'd love to see more detail on where the car is in the process (in/out of inspection, transport, location, reconditioning, etc.), but with relatively few CPO cars they are moving I can understand it's not a priority for their development and web design resources to focus on...

CPO advisor. He passed the buck to the DS after the deposit cleared.

I'm being overly patient on this because I am thrilled to be getting this car but there is room for considerable process improvement and opportunity to add a simplified digital checklist and communication portal within mytesla.

1. Upon deposit the vehicle window sticker or similar should be posted.
2. Photos of the actual vehicle and its imperfections should be made available on the customers mytesla portal. Buying a car sight unseen can be nerve wracking.
3. Estimated times for activities prior to delivery should be posted to mytesla with comments as applicable. Inspection, repair/replacement of parts and if so what, paint correction and repaint if so what, and a summarized CPO checklist in this same location
4. If the vehicle is being transported the expected transport pickup should be included
5. Pre delivery checklist also posted with the customer indicating that their charging, insurance, financing, and if applicable trade-in is read to go.

That is disappointing to hear. It seems like Tesla could really improve the process to make people's experience more uniform. I think those are really good ideas.

Just wanted to give you all an update.

I finally got photos of the actual vehicle, granted these were from the appraisal. Vehicle looks to be in amazing shape.

I secured financing today at my credit union and the payment will be sent out tomorrow. My advisor requested a photo copy of the check with tracking info so he could expedite my vehicle shipping to me. The vehicle as of yesterday was done from the service center, so that's complete.

I have a delivery window of next weekend fri-sun for delivery from California to New Mexico.

After switching my delivery advisor from Chris H, to Charles M... I've had a night and day experience, which restored faith back into the company, because of one guys actions.

I'll keep you all updated as things progress. I'll video my CPO delivery experience and post it on my YouTube channel

Reactions: ModelX and JPUConn
Having the same problems. Keep in mind that I'm in San Diego, and my P85+ was listed as Orange County/San Diego. OK - so the car is 80 miles away. $500 if I wanted it shipped, so I'll obviously drive to get it. Deposit paid on 5/17. Finally get a delivery specialist who told me that my order reached him on 5/26 - over a week later. Also told that there was a chance I could get it by Saturday, he'd let me know. Saturday night, I get an email that it was't going to happen but that they would ship the car to San Diego for me. Now I have a San Diego DS. Total silence from him, but I'm now being asked to prepay for the car that I have yet to see.Email the new DS - asking if I can just pay by check (cash purchase). No answer. For 2 days. I finally replay to the email requesting payment - they have the DS contact me. No status update. Get an email at 7 pm tonight apologizing that it is taking longer "than we'd like" but that it was because of the Buena Park CPO hub falling behind. Picking it up in Buena Park would shave a few days off. I reply that I can only do that if available on Saturday. Also mentioned that if it takes much longer, I'm going to demand an LTE upgrade - especially if I have to pick it up. So, Tuesday is three weeks, beyond the 2 weeks I was told. No idea when I'll get it. Also, poor planning on mt part, but I got rid of by plug in hybrid and need a distance vehicle to pick my child up from college next weekend. My Ford Focus EV with an 80 mile range is not going to cut it. Very unhappy...

Oh - MyTesla still shows "Your estimated delivery window is May - Early June"
Major bummer. I got mine at Buena Park too, but I live 15 minutes away, so I just visited my car every few days while they were reconditioning it. From what I remember, it took about three weeks, and they still missed stuff.

Maybe I should go and try to swap yours for mine. I think, yours looks great. Oh, don't pay for it until you take delivery. You gave them a deposit and fulfilled your end of the the one-sided bargain. They will want a cashiers check.

Connor O'Neil is who I work with there.

I think we are seeing why Tesla held back the CPO cars from their website -- they are perhaps over capacity at the service centers for reconditioning and delivery. It seems once they uploaded the hundreds of CPO cars within the past month, they've been overwhelmed. And I know that me and many others reserved cars directly with the CPO advisors, before they were posted. My CPO advisor said they knew the cars would get snapped up quickly, so they held them back (read: throttle supply to keep them sane). Mine took almost 3 weeks to get inspected and put on a truck from the East Coast to ship to Seattle. But I tried to remain patient.

I'm also guessing there are some new Delivery Specialists and/or they are short staffed in some roles, so emails are getting returned late or not at all... Company is growing fast and these are typical pains. So, as eager as we are, we should remain patient and understanding -- as best we can, of course. After all, we're all on the same team. It's clear they have more demand than they can handle, which is a good thing overall but not when you're the one waiting for your car...

Every day is one day closer.

My experience has been excellent throughout. Deposit on Black S85 on May 13th. Signed the paperwork on May 14th (Saturday). In touch with my DS on Monday the 16th. Went back and forth confirming options and delivery. Opted for June 16th delivery so I could fly to Chicago from NYC to get it and drive back with my son. DS emailed May 30th and said they were running ahead of schedule, detailing was being completed, and if I had any flexibility, they could deliver this week. Unfortunately I didn't. He is sending a Tesla to pick my son and me up from the airport on the 16th. The normal email response time has been less than 12 hours, most times less than 2. Only hiccup has been the wall connector with 24' cord is on back order, but I'm not getting it installed til July, so I haven't worried.

2 weeks out. Getting real. I've been poring over maps and routes for the 3 summer road trips we have planned. Want to know the mileage between 2 cities in the Northeast and/or any points in Lower Ontario/Michigan....just ask.

Cheers.

For those in higher density Tesla areas, word is starting to leak back to the small town in Michigan we are moving back to this summer that I bought a Tesla. You would think I was returning from India with an Elephant that I would be using to commute, or a jet pack. Tesla has so far to go with brand awareness in the hinterlands. Remember, if it's not on the Tevee...it don't exist.

I finally took delivery of my 2013 CPO P85+ on last Friday. I placed my deposit on April 29th so the wait was extremely long, but Tesla was kind enough to provide me a refreshed p90dl loaner last month while I waited. Will post first impressions soon!

Anyone have any experience with the Devon PA location? Your posts are encouraging me to be patient for sure. Getting all the details right is worth it, right? Only problem is I'm going to seriously need a car sometime soon :)
