CPO Model S January Timeline

Ok got an email saying it’s being shipped to Santa Barbara and I should be able to get it next week. They’re asking for current insurance but my insurance company doesn’t want to insure until I have the vehicle. Anyone else run into this?

Today surprisingly my online representative picked up my call, good news, my car clear all QA thing and ready at delivery center, he said I will get a call from Shawn to setup a delivery mostly coming Thursday or Friday!! ......

Nice, it seems like everyone is starting to get their cars towards the end of the 6 weeks mark then.

My insurance will cover me till I update them is what my agent told me.

So do i put the insurance on "tesla.com" for my current car or push to get the Tesla insured (thanks for your help)

You want to double check with your current insurance agent that they will insure a new car under your current policy or alternatively if you trade your car that they would cover the new car when it rolls out of the Tesla service center.
If they do, I just provided my current insurance id cards for the tesla account.

hmmm it's odd.... in general Insurance company says "let me add that car so you will have a car insured when you get the delivery!!"

I just got the final email from my CPO Advisor. It looks like my delivery specialist will be taking over, which means delivery could happen within the next week or two... Fingers crossed that things go smoothly.

I ordered 1/15 and have had no indication on time or status on anything other than it arrived at the SC where it is going through reconditioning. It is being reconditioned in Buena Park and shipped to Cincinnati . Have you heard much along the way? How far is yours shipping?

Mine is shipping from California to AZ. Still havent got an official pick up date yet, but all that is left is to catch up with my newly assigned delivery specialist and iron out the exact details.

Got some new info today. Car is going to finish up with the CPO process "next week" and will go out for shipment after that. Last time I spoke with my DS he said the car was done with internal and external work, so I don't quite know what else they need to do. Hopefully taking delivery by 2/19-2/23 in Tempe.

I finally got a Delivery Day scheduled! 2/13 (order was placed 1/3), which puts it almost exactly at 6 weeks (4-6 week delivery estimate). I'm a little bit disappointed because It's been at the service center since Monday 2/5, but I'll take it!

Congrats on your scheduled delivery.. I ordered the same day and my car is arriving tomorrow to the svc, hope they are faster.

Congrats everyone! I ordered my 2015 70D on 1/2. It arrived in Chicago around 1/20 and as of Monday is still in the reconditioning phase.

Keep the updates coming...I'm living vicariously at this point!
