CPO Warranty Change?

From the link on the main site all model S cars other than a select few older S60s should have an 8-yr/unlimited mile battery warranty on them. In the past few days it the website is now showing 5-year/unlimited miles. Anyone else seeing this?

Makes sense since that car is 3years old already ..I never understood why Tesla reset the clocks on CPOs that disadvantaged folks who keep their cars ..

Figured it out. Tesla always said it was 8 years from the original in-service date. They've simply changed the website data to display how many years are left (a 2016 shows 6 years, 2015 shows 5 years).

But that reset was the final piece that got me to buy a CPO. Definite marketing advantage for them.

+1 fresh 4 year warranty was a big factor for me buying a CPO.

Thought original owners (people who bought new) could extend the warranty at the end of the 4 years? Perhaps I got that wrong....
