Cquartz Finest vs. OptiCoat Pro Plus? Deep Blue car.

What would I be better off with? Plan to have it done shortly after delivery in Fremont.

Older posts say that CQ finest looks better, but I haven't seen much info on the OC Pro Plus. I'm leaning towards OC simply because all the CQ detailers are a lot further away... is there much of a difference between the two?

OCDetailing in Walnut Creek does both and can advise as to differences

Walnut Creek is not too far from you, and Joe Torbati at OC Detailing does both Opticoat Pro and CQuartz. He can advise you. I have ordered a deep blue metallic as well, and because of my experience with CQuartz over the last three years with my gray S, I'm sticking with it.

i went with OptiCoat Pro Plus and love it.

i found from my research that CQuartz trumped OptiCoat Pro in terms of looks, but it was never as good quality (longevity, water beading, dirt repellent properties, thickness of coat protection). so OptiCoat put out their "Plus" product in response to CQuartz. now it looks just as good as CQuartz, but will last far longer as well as all the other superior qualities.

When I got my multi-coat red S85 3 years ago, Joe T advised me to go with OptiCoat Pro. When we took delivery of my wife's Obsidian Black S70D, he advised cQuartz. You need to discuss how and where you drive and garage your car, your maintenance/wash schedule and technique, etc. He will tell you what he thinks is best. And BTW he has done about 700+ Model S and maybe about 50 Model X by now....popular guy.

Borrowing a few of OC Detailing photos from their Facebook site at: Facebook. This is a deep metallic blue Tesla before and after paint correction and coating (not sure if it was CQuartz or Opticoat). Hopefully my photo posting skills work.
