Crack in glass strip on roof

Have you had any response or taken any further action since posting? Is that piece glass or some sort of plastic?
We have a gouge in that piece that resulted from parking in a commercial garage where a fire sprinkler pipe elbow was in the center of the parking slot. I did not notice it there when parking. No crack resulted but there is a deep scratch or gouge about 10" long. I'm pretty sure that this material is not glass, no sharp edges.

I'm not sure if it's glass or not. I sent pictures to the SC and they are ordering the piece so it will be there when I go in for my appointment. They haven't said anything about if they will cover it or the cost.
