Cracking yoke steering wheel

My 2021 model S yoke steering started cracking on right side just under the palm area. Tesla has been very arrogant. Please let me know if any one else is having this issue.

That doesn’t look like cracking so much as abrasion.

Where do you see cracks?

Do you wear a ring on your right hand? If so, perhaps it might be scratching the yoke? I have the feeling Tesla will not consider this a warranty issue if you somehow caused it.

Do you own animals that you take in the car? Besides your friends or kids.

make a service appointment. mobile repair will exchange our your steering wheel for a new one. the new one has a different material. it's not as "soft" but feels SO MUCH BETTER and you dont' have to worry about scratching it...much more durable. I had mine replaced last week and the new one is so much better

I have a similar problem but in a different spot; it's on the left lower portion near the back edge. It seems to be disintegrating. No dogs and just a ring. No other car (and there've been many) has ever done this. I'll try the mobile service route.

Does the new one match the rest of the interior as well as the original. I have the same problem and am considering putting in a service request.

I just had my yoke replaced by service free of charge. I think they are ware it’s a materials issue and hopefully will not fight customers on it.

Yup. The yoke is complete crap. Stupid controls, missing functionality, poorly made.

I STRONGLY disagree. I love the yoke and removal of stalks. The ONLY thing I don’t like is the placement of the horn. Otherwise I very much prefer it over a steering wheel.
