Creating "clips" with Dashcam

I've seen countless posts on dashcam clips, but couldn't find one on this specific topic...so apologies in advance for the redundancy if it's out there somewhere.

If I'm cruising along and tap the dashcam icon, what exactly will that save? ...how long will that clip be? Will it capture time before and after I hit the button?

When you manually save dashcam footage, it saves the previous 10 minutes.

Since the interface refresh the dashcam icon no longer appears at the top of my screen - just the FSD beta report icon. Not sure if this is an oversight or if the method to save dashcam footage changed. Can someone confirm?

As of 2022.4.5 (I can't speak for FSD beta) clips can once again be taken by tapping the dashcam icon at the bottom of the screen (I may have had to place it there with the long press and drag). That works for my X, but the 3 hasn't been updated past 2021 firmware yet. In the 3 I have to hit the car icon and tap the Dashcam button (which is a nice big rectangle that is easy to hit). I would think it would get the single tap feature with the next update.

Another way to save the Dashcam footage is press the right steering wheel button and say "Save That". The car then saves the last 10 minutes.

I was wondering if the dashcam voice commands still worked, since some voice commands broke with v11. Do you have v11?
