Didn't want to "hide" these pics in our local sub-forum but couldn't think where else to post them, but they made me laugh and I needed to share them (they were supplied to me by an anonymous photographer :wink..... At the Sarasota Event celebrating National Plug-In day this was the Tesla showing; it was non-stop busy for 4 hours with people asking questions, getting in and out of Model S, three Tesla staff working on-stop and Jordan and I answering streams of questions about our Roadsters: A few yards away was the Fisker display where the staff were talking to each other and they put out mannequins to make it look like there were people there:
couldn't have been ... he gave his away! http://green.autoblog.com/2012/09/24/justin-bieber-gifts-chrome-fisker-karma-to-sean-kingston/
Had a laugh at this remark I don't want to be Fisker-bashing though; there's room for them too in a nearly-ICE-less world. Hope they can set their ship right soon.
The word is out: The Fisker is just not a very good car. It's just a pretty face. Meanwhile Tesla is in a class all its own.
Nope, it isn't indeed. It's a very big car with just so little space inside. I'd never consider buying a Fisker Karma.
Caption contest! "That was a disappointment. Where around here is that Tesla booth? "You can stare at me all you want. I refuse to buy it for you, I just won't!" "Hey, I'm talking to you! Come look at my painting!"
It's kind of interesting in an arty sort way. You're left wondering what the relationship is between the two figures. One has his back turned on the other with his arms folded. The other looks on from a distance, forlorn. Where's the plaque with the artist's description?
Somebody pointed out to me that the mannequins are probably there to stop real people from getting burnt! (Ouch.....they'll hate that joke at Fiskerbuzz)
Oh, I think it's a very nice-looking car on the outside. Of course, the pictures don't show the misaligned body parts folks have mentioned. And I really like the Cheshire Cat smile. But then, I've always loved the Cheshire Cat.
In Fisker's defense, the Karma has been on the streets longer than the Model S, so there is less buzz about it now, plus the 2 fires haven't helped. But I think the other main reason for the difference is that many people have been to a Tesla store and know you can look at the Model S without the "Dealer Pressure" that would probably come with a visit to the Fisker. So this might be some vindication of the Tesla sales model.
