Crossing from Canada to US - phone plan

We're driving into the states from Canada for a 2-3 week visit. Rather than pay our cell network's daily roaming charges or purchasing their "travel booster", we are thinking of buying a 30-day SIM once we're in the states. Even though our phone number will change, there should still be no problem pairing the phone to the car and proceeding as normal, right? TIA, Lily

If your car uses the AT&T network in Canada for cellular access, you won't have any problems there either. If Canadian Teslas use something other than AT&T, which I don't think is the case, you might have a problem.

Never had an issue - the car might lose connectivity near the border, but once it’s realized what’s going on it works fine
