How do you think that will work with insurance? I’m under the impression you have to have your vin to get insurance, and you have to have your Tesla actually on your insurance to take delivery in many states (including mine, CO).

Same in my state (UT). Although it’s an added layer, I don’t see it as being a major obstacle. I can call my agent, have him price out several companies, choose one and have the policy documents emailed directly to me - the whole process taking about 30 min to an hour. So long as it doesn’t fall on a weekend, same day shouldn’t be impossible
It takes less than 10 minutes with insurance, usually. You can get it all set up with your insurance company and tell them you’ll call when you have the VIN. Both Tesla and the insurance companies are very used to it.

Who did you speak with? When I spoke to my SA Brandon I was told the vehicles are already in the lot just waiting for this whole firmware/VIN assignment issue to be resolved

thats so cool we were there yesterday and the employee we met at the super charger said they had the model S refresh coming off the line, he had the same config MY as we ordered, so we thought lets strike up a convo......good stuff

Mine is similar. It has been June 3 - June 23 for the last few days. It just updated to June 18 - June 30. Tesla really should work on their communications.

Mine also changed to 6-10 weeks this afternoon. Was June 6-20 Friday and Saturday. It has been listed as 6-10 weeks several times before.
