A VIN HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE TRACKING SHEET!

It is 195XXX! Probably just a soft match for someone, but at least it’s a vin over 182XXX that is known.

How did you find out?? Did they text you or is it on the account? Sorry I’m new to this process and curious!

Hi there, super new here so these may have already been answered. Has anyone else’s account gone from saying a tentative date to the generic 5-9 weeks? My original date was supposedly May 21-June 14 but I have yet to get a VIN and my SA never responds to me. I have reached out to the dealership and they said they won’t know anything until I’m assigned a VIN. Also, I’ve been seeing a ton of articles about looking at the page source to see if your VIN is assigned. Does anyone know if that’s real or just BS?

Anyone that already has their VIN should try out the page source thing and see if it actually works. I’m interested to know if this is just BS

It was notified via text. At least thats what was documented in the spreadsheet

^^ Seems like only people outside of CA get any sort of unsolicited, proactive, or even automated communication from Tesla. Anyone in CA ever get anything like that or is just me who’s out on my own.

I’m in Wexford PA and I can promise you my SA has never responded to me and the responses from the dealer are extremely short and not at all helpful. It’s not just CA.

Drive by the Columbus SC again this morning to help me cope (ha).
It is full of Ys. Some 3s. There were probably double the cars from earlier in the week. I’d estimate 40-50.
Build dates looked to be 5/12 and VIN 188.

I saw that last night. I’m not sure if I completely believe it. The highest VIN that has been noted was 188xxx, I believe. His SA could have given a soft VIN.

There is one 191xxx at our SC lot.
The 195xxx may be from new batch with old chips not required new firmware. Just guessing.

195xxx must be rolling off the production line. That would be frustrating if new builds could be assigned while we continue waiting for a firmware.

Elon tweeted that there was a MS Plaid delivery event on June 3rd… could it be they are releasing the new interface or whatever v11 (alongside the MS) and wanted to “reveal” it before allowing the public to see it first?

I went inside to talk to an SA who looked in his computer and said it should be here June 2. I ordered 4/12 and currently show dates of May 23- June 13th.

On the way home I stopped at the Sherman Oaks store where I placed the order and spoke to my SA. She looked in the computer and also said I had a June 2 build date.
Anyway, I’m not holding my breath but June 2nd would be nice!

A future build date? If you have a build date, then by definition don’t you also have an associated VIN?

Went back to “5-9 weeks from order date” this morning. When the dates come back, hope it’s moved up....

This Tuesday it will be 6 weeks :/

Door panel upgrades? Are you referring to the China Y? I think the reward will be the car itself and we’re expected to be damn grateful about it.

I’ld consider that a downgrade with the white interior, prefer the current one

but I’ll take whatever at this point lol
