I think that Tesla has set the expectation that they do not give out free things for delays, and the like, and they don't really incentive to...they're booking out sales months in advance, which means there's nothing forcing them to do anything about this. If people cancel their cars there are already others waiting in line that will take them. Until that changes, Tesla probably won't see a reason to give out things.
2 years ago i got red paint for my M3P for free (was offered free white interior too but i did not want that) (and one of those tiny cars in a plastic case). it was part of the EOQ push. most probably they are not doing that anymore.
 
Just emailed with my SA (Westmont, IL) - said my order still isn't even in production. Ordered a MYLR, MSM, black 5 seat, No Tow on 3/20? How is that even possible?
But he thinks I'll get it in June.
I just talked to Justin (delivery specialist at Westmont), who I reached by calling the service center, and choosing option #4. I would talk to him, as he has more visibility than the standard SAs. I basically have the same order as you, but w/ Tow, ordered 2/22 and paused, then unpaused 4/5. He said I don't have a VIN matched yet, but it's likely that the car is at the lot, but just hasn't been updated yet. He said the software updates are getting pushed in batches so their system doesn't get overwhelmed. But until it's updated and cleared to be matched, your SA can't tell where your car is.

yea last year I got free supercharging on my M3 for a year for the EOQ push. wish they would bring that back as we have taken a bunch of trips just because it didnt cost us anything
 
Both, the distribution center on Rraintree and the overflow lot on Northsight have been indeed replenished. There are a number of vehicles on Raintree, although not as many as I have seen in the past. And the overflow lot is almost full. There is probably space left over for about three to five more truckloads.


WOW! And I thought we had some here in Springfield. Here they are rolling out new MY's today.

Service center busy with many new MY's and we spoke with one pick up, she said she ordered first week of April. She was in this red Y.

I am hearing my vin will be in a few days... I am ready!

I just called the DC and they said, " Vins get assigned as soon as a car leaves the production line. This means yours hasnt been built yet". I honestly dont know if they are lying or just dont care to find out what is going on
I think that's usually the case, but because of the software update, there are cars everywhere that have been made and are sitting in lots, but aren't assigned because they're waiting to cleared post-update. So I think your SA is going off of the usual circumstance. Have you tried reaching a delivery specialist at that location (I got one by selecting option #4 when calling).

I called mine today and was told my vehicle is in transit and left the factory Saturday 5/22. I don’t have a VIN yet. Sooooo who knows? They did mention I was “soft matched”. WTF does that mean?
