I guess the floodgate really opened. I didn’t expect to get a VIN that quick. Ordered 5/7. Estimated delivery 5/29 to 6/1. It just showed up in the wee hour today. White on black with induction and nothing else.
Does anyone know how to postpone delivery?
Service center said the car is already there and I must take delivery within 7 days. There’s no way I can do that because I’ll be out of town for 2 weeks. Such bad timing. I didn’t expect to have the car until at least end of June. Now they will need to unmatch me with the VIN and put my account on hold.

Called the SC and spoke to my guy. He said my MYP will arrive on a truck on 6/8. I scheduled to pick it up on 6/10.
Updated the spreadsheet.

All Love!

Not all of us in south Florida have been that lucky 😩
I'm near Tampa and I had to wait 6.5 weeks for the VIN but was able to pick up on the same day.. Now the new baby is home. Ordered 4/13....picked up 5/27..

Checked my account when I woke up this morning (it's 6:50 AM here in Hawaii now) and I have a VIN! The relief I felt was indescribable! VIN in the 197 range with estimated delivery June 12-14. About to check the other updates to see if there were anymore VINs assigned. I am so stoked!
Yay! Doesn’t that mean you might get it for your birthday?!?

OK, so I've been waiting for notification to make the final payment before delivery tomorrow, but it never came. I had called in the updated payoff amount for my trade-in yesterday, and my SA (who I have never met in person, but sounded like a nice kid) said that I should get an email with a link to the final payment due and Tesla loan agreement. Nothing came; nothing in my account to initialize the payment. This afternoon, the DC sent a predelivery email that highlighted I needed / they were waiting for final payment before delivery, so I knew there was a problem. I called the DC's direct number, and went to VM (and they never called back - according to my SA, there are only two delivery specialists at the DC.). So I called the Tesla Store at Montgomery Mall and explained my situation. She put me on hold for about 5 minutes, then came back and told me to logout then log back into my Tesla account, and reenter the Manage page. Still no change. Then I received an email that directed me to make final payment, and that link took me back into my account on a new browser tab, and viola! the payment details were there. So long story, Tesla appears to need to do things on the backend to make things happen on your account page. If you don't see the things you think you should be seeing, call them - either the SC or the DC - to get things rolling. TBH, I was getting ready to drive to the SC and camp on them if I wasn't able to speak with a human!

I got my delivery date rescheduled for next Friday. No one from the Raleigh SC would answer the phone, so I had to go there in person to get this accomplished 🤔

This whole process has been super frustrating, to say the least. Customer service is non-existent and they have no regard for our busy schedules. We have to constrain ourselves to a 3 day window of their choosing, but when something on their end goes wrong they'll cancel and reschedule on a whim. Any excitement I had before is replaced with the stress of getting everything scheduled between a busy work schedule and busy personal life.

Now I need to call the person I'm selling my car to and tell them they need to wait another week.....

Same. I don’t trust the Friday day either.

Nice, love that garage floor!
Thanks! Tiled it about 7 years ago with 24 inch tile.. Best thing I ever did.. Cleans up so nicely.. No cracks so far on any of the tiles and I had a heavy F150 Crew Cab V8 on that garage floor... Just used a lot of thinset when I installed the tile so that there are no hollow spots below that would make the tile crack easily..

It's a great idea! I had my painted with that grey garage paint that has the, I guess you call "sparkles" in it when I bought my house new a few years back. It's now peeling up in certain spots and not looking great but it would be a nightmare to move all move cabinets to tile.. Maybe in the next home.

I once did a garage floor with white epoxy paint.. Big mistake.. The white turned yellow where the tires rolled over the garage floor and the yellow didn't come out.. Darker color would have been better..

It’s like the closer you are to Fremont, the longer it takes to get your car. So much for shopping local 😂
It does make sense from a business perspective to serve other areas first to show better end of quarter numbers.. It takes 2 weeks to get the car to Florida, so if they assign that car to a local buyer let's say 2.5 weeks before quarter end instead of someone in Florida, it is possible that the buyer in Florida will not take possession of the car prior to quarter end as they will get the car later.. If they make the cars for local buyers 4 - 5 days before quarter end, they will still get the delivery out prior to quarter end.. It's all about the numbers for the shareholders..
