Delivery scheduled for tomorrow. I spent all of this morning arranging financing. Two front runners were Bank of America and DCU. It was a pain trying to get DCU to process everything, which doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in them. I also got Tesla to match the DCU rate @ 1.24% for 72 months. Tesla's finance department has been a pleasure to work with. They are so responsive!!
How did you get 1.24% for 72 months?

I wasn't talking about you when I mentioned fanboy, so please don't take offense. I've been looking for some hard data, but all I've found so far are fanboys activating AB then racing a non-AB car in very unscientific scenarios. I was hoping to find some graphs that describe where the power bands differ, and where the car performs best. I'm looking for performance gains that make everyday "maneuvering" in traffic easier (aka reserve torque when you need it.)
In the “Driving” section of the forums there are a few threads that have this data. People using draggy and ScanMyTesla sharing their data

You have to become a DCU member and agree to direct deposit to get it. There is a post somewhere on this thread that lays out how to go about getting this rate.

Once I got the agreement from DCU to DocuSign, it emailed it to [email protected] asking them if they could match the rate. They replied back in 2 hours and automatically applied it to my reservation.

I picked up my car! There were a bunch of problems with the shipping company. They were four hours late (from their original estimate). They did call an hour before showing up. They kept telling me to go to Walmart. I went to Walmart. They drove past Walmart and dropped the car off at Alberstons (another grocery store about 1/4 mile away). So I walked to Albertsons. I'm allowed to leave my old car overnight at Walmart but I don't know if I can do that at Albertsons. They handed over the key card without even asking for ID or anything. There was only one key card. The driver said take it or leave it. They didn't even bother to attach the temporary plate.

By this time it was raining so I took delivery of the car and figured I could get the other issues ironed out (such as the car not showing up in the app) after I got home. Sentry Mode is greyed out. The Telsa USB stick is in the glove box and seems to be plugged in. The SA I had on the phone said I shouldn't need to format the USB stick but ISTM that is the best thing to try now.

On the short drive home I saw a double rainbow in the sky. Despite the minor difficulties I took this to be a good omen. Now I've finally seen and driven a Tesla!
Congrats on your delivery! Sucks that you had a poor experience with the shipping company. Clearly the truck driver isn't the smartest of the bunch (miscalculating by four hours, confusing Walmart w/ Albertsons, losing a key, etc.)

@digitalboi and many others, this begins to scratch the surface of all the "questionable practices" that Tesla employ: Tesla uses questionable practices in its intense end-of-quarter push - Electrek

-Was the carrier the same kind of enclosed trailer you linked in that youtube delivery clip?
No. It was a regular open one. I only saw it briefly as it was speeding past Walmart. I barely saw my car on it. It looked like the other cars or some of the other cars were not Telsas. The driver was vastly impatient. He had been waiting for me at Albertsons while I was waiting for him at Walmart. We did not communicate well. I ended up running to the car in the Albertsons parking lot. The truck was out on the street and it was raining. I was focused on the car and the truck drove away before I got a decent look at it.
-Aren't you supposed to get 2 key cards? Will Tesla send you another one (free)?
Yes and yes.
-When did your car info show up in the app?
After I got home I called Tesla in Colorado Springs and talked to a SA named Tim. He was helpful and patient. He mentioned the "deliver team" frequently. Seems they were the ones who dropped the ball. I don't know if Tim made a change or not but the final step to get the car to show up was to log out of the app and then log back in.

Just moved out to NorCal last week after selling our Model 3 back in NYC. I was going back and forth about putting down the deposit for a Model Y and waiting a while for the delivery but one popped up on inventory Friday night VIN 222xxx, put the deposit down, and then picked it up Sunday at the Fremont factory! No issues upon arrival so far! Hopefully everyone still waiting gets their delivery soon or can find a match in the inventory!

Sorry it sucked with respect to delivery, but congrats!

Sentry mode won’t work with the USB plugged in anyway. I haven’t seen anyone without the radar post that their Sentry Mode works. There’s a whole different thread about it. Enjoy!
My apologies in advance for not searching other threads first but curious if you’ve heard any reports about Dashcam being nerfed on non-radar cars? My Sentry Mode is definitely not working but Dashcam is dodgy too - only recording some drives, not others, etc.

Did you have to apply for tesla financing before they would match the rate?

For the first two weeks after my 6/13 order, my EDD jumped all over the place - from June 27-30 to the non-specific September. For the last 4 or 5 days it has been holding steady at Aug 3 -Aug 23. I'm still 5 weeks from the beginning of that time frame. Advisor said she hoped we would get a VIN assigned in July.
Waiting is the hardest part.....

you can see the wide variance of my ED in my signature, luckily it hasn't changed since settling on late july/ August. It won't stop me from refreshing my order page on Tesla's website 3000 times a day though LOL.

ordered 5/9 MYLR White/20"/black interior/with tow

as everyone else has stated it has jumped around by days and months daily but got the magic blue button and a vin on Saturday. Paid the account balance on Sunday and had a delivery date of Monday 6/28, SA Calls yesterday and says it didn't come in but to expected it today Tuesday 6/29 and at the latest the morning of Wed. 6/30.
Wake up today to dates of July 1-July 4th. I contact my SA and he checks and confirms that now it's not until 7/1.

Why are these logistics so hard ? I know this company counts on us loving the car and forgetting about all of the crap but this experience has been rough. Would almost be better if they just didn't put dates and didn't refresh them daily and then just called you when the car was in. So much false hope.

Order date: 5/10
MYLR, MSM, Tow

I've been tracking my EDD data so might as well post it here for others. No news besides a mid July to early August EDD that's been sticking around for awhile.

While I'm waiting for Model 3 I was looking into Console wrap to protect scratch on console. Does anyone have experience on these kind of console wrap? I'm afraid sticker will damage console too.
