I guess we should refresh TMC as well like we refresh Tesla account, every few secondsDang, MYLR came available in NC. Just missed it. Gotta be quick.
@wakko hopefully your delivery specialist calls you, but there's been some pretty wild stories previously in this thread where the DS doesn't call, drops off the car and leaves. The customer had no idea it was their Tesla for a couple days since it was parallel parked in street parking, among the public.my understanding is they will deliver and you have to inspect later and create appointment as needed. Some people had luck trying to ask the person to wait while you inspect.
some people will call and some will not. a user here reported that they were looking out for the car to be delivered but after sometime suddenly the car is on their driveway but no one was there.. so it completely depends again.
In my honest frank opinion, it is ridiculous whoever has ordered a MYLR and is now also ordering a MYP ontop of having the MYLR order. You are pushing our MYLR orders even further back because they prioritize MYP first before MYLR. Have some respect for the majority of us and not be selfish and just to think about yourselves, we all have been waiting for months for our cars. Being selfish isn't a good thing always believe in karma and faith.. Now our dates are being pushed because they're prioritizing THE MYP orders as those are the more money source for them..
Then I'm the creeper staying the legally mandated 500 feet away from the school, watching you all from afar with my binoculars.Since I started to stalk the boards back in May and joined in June around my order date, I've seen so many folks take delivery, many with order dates close to mine... I'm starting to get a feeling I haven't had since childhood... like when my parents would forget to pick me up from school.
I ordered a M3P as my alternate. Different line. Im screwing over the M3 peeps.Laugh; blame Tesla not us. I cannot help it they used bait and switch tactics on my LR. Order with a EDD of October, then five weeks later check order stratus and it says December! Some of us cannot wait half a year for a car, especially when we were on the fence between the two versions anyway.
I did switch my LR to a P, so I don't have two orders. I committed to the P.

Then there was the story where the car transportation delivery driver was idiotic and kept giving the wrong drop-off location to the customer. The idiot confused Walmart with Albertsons or something, and the customer had to spend hours in the dark, in the rain, trying to find their Tesla...turns out they were at the wrong parking lot altogether. These are horror stories and worst case scenarios, and you'll likely be just fine, but as always, as a Tesla customer, you gotta look out for yourself.
If you really wanted, I think you can easily sell your brand new 20" Induction Wheels with brand new tires, and buy aftermarket Martian Wheels and come out about even. Martian Wheels makes Model Y specific wheels as small as 18" so you can have maximum sidewall and winter grip. Their wheels are just a tad narrower too, so they don't stick out beyond the rubber sidewall so there's far less chance of curb rash.Truer words.... I'm a little bitter that mine will have 20s. I feel strongly about having the smaller wheels for exactly the reason you just stated but my better half added 20s to our order when it was first made. (And white paint, and white interior.... but I digress.) Now it's turning into my daily drive so I'm kinda stuck with the choices unless I wanted to lose $7k FSD.
Geez, is it bad that I remember both of those stories. LOL.@wakko hopefully your delivery specialist calls you, but there's been some pretty wild stories previously in this thread where the DS doesn't call, drops off the car and leaves. Lol, this is the dumbest thing I’ve ever read. You really think Tesla has a singular assembly line and they’re pushing MYLR off for MYP orders? In my honest frank opinion, it is ridiculous whoever has ordered a MYLR and is now also ordering a MYP ontop of having the MYLR order. Just from the data sample on this forum the demand for MYLR is 6-7x or more that of MYP, the reason MYP delivery is so much faster is due to low demand vs the LR. Tesla almost certainly has seperate production lines for the two cars, and with low demand for the MYP, can obviously deliver them faster. Could they convert some of their MYP lines to MYLR? Most likely, but they’ve probably determined the cost benefit is not worth it for their bottom line, vs making MYLR customers wait longer.
Even if that were the case that MYP is made on the same line (unlikely), who is the selfish one when you are asserting that the general public should stop buying MYPs so your personal MYLR can be delivered faster?
Am I a selfish person if I order something with next day shipping while you ordered two week shipping and it hasn’t come yet?
I've joined this band of misfits called "Current Delivery Times" since around page 200, and I think I can only recall one person recently that rejected delivery due to quality issues. That person is still here, it was recent! Some people had to reject delivery because of schedule conflicts (and Tesla's insane three day policy, where you must take delivery within 72 hours once the car arrives at the DC). The person that rejected due to quality knew something could be up because it was clearly an older VIN, but they went to the delivery appointment anyway just to check. Turns out there were broken Tesla badges, scuffs and scrapes, lots of things wrong. So they rejected and I'm sure someone else immediately took that car into a loving home because demand is just that crazy right now. And no, Tesla did not put them in the back of the line for rejecting delivery, they had another VIN assigned within a few weeks. Thanks @Hangover and @PatrickTM. I've been pretty nervous with home delivery since I can't complain right away if there's any issues but I hope everything is good without any problems. At least they'll deliver it to my home and not a parking lot and nobody else having a Model Y yet in the neighborhood so I can see if they drop it in the wrong location. Will be funny if they drop it in my neighbor's house and I have to knock their door asking if they just bought a Tesla .
Ditto. The Kia EV6 is actually nice for a Kia! 2022 Kia EV6: What We Know So FarAll this. 100%.
They lost my attention at calling everyone "selfish" but they are buying a 60k vehicle. Buy a Kia and donate the rest. Karma. Ya know?
This isn't on the buyer, but I do want to point out that some people were promised 5-8 week delivery and are on week 15 while others were told 7-11 week delivery and got theirs on week 4. Same product, same line....that's where the issue comes into play, for me.Am I a selfish person if I order something with next day shipping while you ordered two week shipping and it hasn’t come yet?
Just drove through their overflow lot being the stalker that I've been for the past week, and my MY LR is there, just got loaded off the truck. Now see if my SA reaches out to me to see if I can pick it up by the end of today.Oh wow....so tomorrow? Have they sent you the "final payment" button yet?
Depends on location. Agree Tesla should be open about how they prioritize orders closer to the factory due to delivery logistics but it has always been that way. This isn't on the buyer, but I do want to point out that some people were promised 5-8 week delivery and are on week 15 while others were told 7-11 week delivery and got theirs on week 4.
