Car was delivered last night at 830pm. It was already dark so it was harder to inspect. Nothing glaring, noted slight uneven painting at edge of small rear window. The SC rep said they were delivering 130+ cars just yesterday. That much? They were delivering up till midnight 😱

Now my whole garage smells like new car.
O Please let that be permanent.
I know, right?! That new Tesla scent is fantastic, I NEVER want it to go away!

Good morning TMC!

It's been about 2 weeks since I took delivery of my MYLR. I have to say it truly was worth the wait just as everyone said. The delivery process was super smooth with no major concerns. I paid the amount due ahead of time allowing me to picked up the car with zero contact. The only issue I noticed was a little paint damage that was very minor.

In an attempt to separate my MYLR from everyone else I decided to paint my wheels and brakes.

Here are a few pictures. Took me 3 days to do. Still much more to do...
That is gorgeous....If I had seen your painted wheels I might have gone with the 19s and done something similar. Wow those look great!

Fellow Vinless and Vinners took my first road trip yesterday just cause.... It was amazing! It so much fun to drive, comfortable and still smells so good. Funny story... so I went to the Supercharger at a WAWA and talked to an elderly couple who were also charging their beautiful red MY. He said they had the car for over a year. I asked him a question about the car maintaining the speed limit - going up and down as the speed limit for the road changed - he said he did not know anything about that. Get this, he says to me there is some kind of cruise control when you push the lever down once and then he says QUOTE " if you push it down twice it does something else but I don't know what that is!" So cool the variety of owners out there and all are so friendly and helpful. We also met a guy who had a 99 score for his FSD Beta test week.... Of course I washed it today and it looks amazing. I might be checking out of this forum as I have been here since post #19463 - that means I have read over 17500 posts and loved each one. I don't want to clutter the forum as I know how hard it is to get caught up if you are away for a while. My only advice to the VINLESS is hang in there, use this forum as therapy and as a source for valuable information, don't be afraid to call Tesla they were pretty responsive to me through the process. Ultimately be cognizant that at the end of this grueling process your car will make you more than happy! To all of you good luck and thank you!

Anyone else hoping to see their EDD jump up at 12:01 AM this morning from some new quarter magic? Just me?

EDD has been at 10/19-11/8 for two weeks now…
My EDD had been at Oct 13-Nov 2 for all of September. This morning it moved up to Oct 4-24. Still a 20 day window, but now so close to EDD.
Original OD was 7/10. In Central Californiana. Blue MYLR/ White/ 20 / AP/ no tow

I had been holding off on renewing loan status, but now will be jumping on it. If anyone has a DCU referral, please DM me.

Geez talk about playing with someone's emotions! 😝

For my recent M3 order it wasn't nearly that bad. That's just all over the place!

If anyone has a DCU referral, please DM me.
Referral not required, you may have to make a one time donation( folks on the forum claim as low as $10 counts) to a charity of their choice if you don't meet membership requirements. For some reason, it's not clearly listed on their membership eligibility criteria checklist, but it works.

Go ahead start with DCU - Join, if the donation option does not work, I can refer you, send me personal message on the forum with full name and e-mail id.

Same with my EDD (same exact date range for all September), but mine still hasn’t moved. Seems like only White interiors are getting updated, or it just feels that way haha. Maybe will switch to black interiors in, as Elon would say, 2 weeks.

I haven't posted on this before. Today my ED dropped 13 days closer. It was Nov 24 - Dec 14, but now Nov 11 - Dec 01. That is for a MYLR, 5 Seat, White/Black, Gemini. Order Date was 7/31. Since I live in Connecticut I will have to to go Mount Kisco, NY for pickup.
Great to see a fellow CT'ian - I am also going to pick up at Mt Kisko (hopefully this month if my EDD window sticks) .. my SA says I should expect a VIN any day now as whatever tool she was looking into said i was on schedule as per my online EDD window. Fingers crossed :)

Thanks! Yea I painted them myself. I pulled all the wheels off and wet sanded each wheel and brake calipers with 350 - 400 grit to remove the dirt and original clear coat. After that I masked the off the tires and brakes before one last cleaning. I applied 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of matte black, and 2 coats of clear. I waited 15 minutes between coats, during the time in between coats I painted the brakes. I let it all sit for 2 full days to fully dry before mounting. Thank goodness for the wife and the minivan😄

Heres the before and during the process
I didn't even think about actually painting the wheels. I'll have to look into that. The first attempt will likely be hyperdip but that peels off and someday I'll try fully painting them.

I would like the calipers to jump a bit more and I'm not sure how I feel about those caliper covers. It seems...fake. But I suppose it is... So maybe I'll practice with the calipers.

Off by a day on order, and 2 days on EDD 😁

That's hilarious about the other couple's Autopilot knowledge. That's so similar to my mom. They bought an RX350 in May and she hasn't driven it yet. We think she's intimidated by the tech. She prefers her bare bones 2013 Outback.

Enjoy your supercharges, Watermelon! *sniffs* They grow up so fast... Then they move out and live their own lives! *sniffs*
