Just curious, I've seen on some pics MS-s with custom colors (the pink one comes to mind immediately). Do people get it redone after delivery or is there a shot at getting Tesla to do a custom color from the factory already? Just curious.

Hi Mario. Spoke to the guy who owns the pink MS at the LA Tesla Ralley a few weeks back. He said he was one of three people that Tesla did custom paint work for them at their factory. It became cost prohibitive for Tesla to offer this option so that's why they only did three cars. I would say that a wrap may be a better option than paint.

They did a few early Signatures in custom colors, under some duress. They did it by taking the cars off the line just before the paint shop, sending them out, then putting them back on the line at the other end of the paint shop. Apparently it was so disruptive to the production line (even when doing about one per day total) that they have permanently nixed the operation.
