These racks are custom fit to the MS roof latch, with a snug fit and key locks. I kept them installed for 2 years through multiple car washes and 4 Chicago seasons without any lossening or noise. I'm having trouble uploading actual pics but here's the manufacturers website. Note, I've already fit the rack to the car and that's the hardest part. It screws in tight but the rubber feet protect the car. There's no marks from where it sat on the roof.
