Custom wireless charger for Tesla premium center console

Ever since I got my new iPhone X which I am using the a clear case, I was unable to use the built in lightning charger since it ended up being too short in combination with my iPhone case.

With the information I found on this thread, (USB-C connector for premium front console - no plans to release) I installed this update last night:

I just ordered this wireless charger that has nice blue "breating" led light:

I used the standard cable that came with the device and replaced the stock lightning cable with the new one as explained in the thread linked above. It all fit perfectly.

The charger can be easily removed if I need to close the console flap. But since it is always open anyway, this is not a big issue for me.

I have an iPhone 7+ with a case and I had to modify the factory iPhone plug to be pushed up a bit further to connect. You can do the same or keep going the wireless route.

That's great, nicely done. Is there enough room for the phone to sit up against the charger? If you accelerate quickly is it going to just flop forward?
