Does anyone know when Tesla switched from the GEN1 cluster 1004788-00-C and older to the GEN2 cluster -D and newer?

Thank you for clarifying that, and thank you for your input! Turns out you are right on the money.

It was before that. My car was built in June of 2014, 3 months before autopilot, and has the higher resolution instrument panel and thinner bezel. A friend's car built in April has the older versions.

Good to know, looking at it now, it had to be in end of April or May. I have a 05/14 car with GEN2 and 04/14 w/ GEN1. Another 04/14 I had was GEN2
