Dallas to San Antonio nonstop??

Anyone driven between San Antonio and Dallas without stopping to charge? Where was your beginning and ending locations, speed, air conditioner settings, etc.

Welcome!

That would basically be impossible at normal highway speeds as it's almost 300 miles. You'd need to stop in Austin to charge most likely. To make that trip you'd have to drive 55mph or so and traffic is usually closer to 65-75mph. They actually have a Model S HPWC at the Domain Tesla Store (bring your UMC too in case someone is using it) so would be a good place to stop. North restaurant is only a couple of hundred yards away for lunch along with a Starbucks there too. Great place to hang out and you can hang out at the Tesla store and answer questions since the employees aren't allow to talk about price or anything that is considered 'selling' the car in Texas.

270 miles would be possible but you'd need to have the 85 kWh pack and take it easy. You'll have a more enjoyable drive if you stop in Austin at the Tesla store for an hour if it isn't too far out of your way that is. If you go 60 mph or so and stay behind a truck (not drafting dangerously just back far enough that you can see their mirrors and stop in time if they stopped quickly) you'd likely make it with a few miles to spare. You'll want to find an RV park between Austin and San Antonio that you can stop at if you come up short and bring you UMC. Call them first to see if you can stop there in case you misjudge your speed. Use the energy app and the projected range and keep that number greater than the miles left on your Nav. Good luck.
