Dangerous: Autopilot is nagging every 15 seconds. Why?

I just had an idea so I tested it and I think I might have figured out your problem. With autopilot on and without taking my seatbelt off I used my arms on the door and center armrests to elevate myself and my back just an inch off the seat. Hold steering wheel kept coming up every 15 to 20 seconds. So either you have a bad sensor in the seat, or you are a ghost.

Hi All,

I found out the cause of this autopilot nagging and could not be happier with the result! I got an email this morning from a Tesla specialist from our local SC asking for the dates and times this happened so that they could investigate the logs. I did not reach out to them with this issue, apparently they are reading the forums! :) I gave him the info as best I remembered and he came back and said the main cause was that there was no pressure detected on the front seat. He said this:

"The AutoPilot issue appears to be related to.... you not being detected in the drivers front seat. It IS possible that the drivers front seat occupancy sensor is faulty. If you want us to look further into that we can set up a service appointment. The other possible problem is that you are sitting too far forward in the seat so it is sporadically not detecting the weight on the sensor."

I don't believe it's the sensor, I am a slouch potato and I know that I sit far forward. I hope this helps, I also wish I could take dangerous out of the posting title lol because this is a safety thing they added so that people don't buckle their seatbelts behind them then move somewhere else.
