I am in the market for a dash cam too, been calling around workshops to see which actually has Tesla experience, haven't decided which shop yet.

Installation on your own is easy and the hardest part is getting the parts.
I used a fuse "add a circuit" and a female cigarette lighter adapter.
I used the instructions on tesla tap and it only took about an hour to install.

I did called Tesla CS. They said I can only use the cigarette socket to get power. If I use others will break the warranty.

Please report if product and service are good if tried.
I understand your concern but an add a circuit does not cut or modify any cables and should not void the warranty.
I have one for my dash cam. I recently had a problem with the autopilot getting an error. One of the checks by the service center require checking the fuse box. The service center saw it and never called it out as voiding the warranty.

I posted this near crash video I took with my cheapo Taobao dual HD cam and to my surprise, most of the responses I received were that the quality was good instead of how much danger I was in,
My dash cam installation was simple and DIY, there are two videos. I used tapes but you could go for mini cable holders:
