Dash Cam Not Working Check USB

Dash cam started showing a red x so I pressed the icon and it says dash cam unavailable check USB. Tried unplugging and plugging back in, formatting, deleting recordings and it is continuing to show error. Anyone else experience this?

Yes. There is another active thread on this topic. There appears to be a software bug that is causing this issue. I have used multiple storage devices and all of them are getting this error.

Lol i had gotten the T7 drive and it just so happens that the software is causing that glitch and i thought it was the drive , so i ended up returning it. I did buy a new MicroSD endurance which is much cheaper but will know if the error pops up and not return it. Hopefully the latest update i just downloaded last night will patch that error.

I'm on 2022.12.3.1 and that's when mine (Samsung T5 SSD) started acting up. Neither a SOFT or HARD re-boot fixed. I can't FORMAT it either. Am hoping the next SW update fixes it. Annoyed.

That may be true, but that is not the issue here. Even with high endurance or max endurance the issue persists. This is a software bug.

Issue happened to my MY this morning and fixed it with a hard reboot (press brake pedeal and both scroll buttons).

Started happening with my T7 after latest update but I was able to unplug, reinsert and have it work again. A day later it happened again and I reinserted, formatted, and have been lucky so far.

Happened to me last night during a trip to Home Depot. While the vehicle on, I unplugged the factory 128GB Samsung USB drive that came with the car. Then plugged it back in. The error went around.

Also running 2022.12.3.2 now. Just got the update last night after getting home from HD.

I'm on 2022.12.3.1. After a week of running this version I too started having this problem. For me, when I unplug and plug-in the USB dash cam functionality is restored for a day or two. Hopefully a future update corrects the issue.

Same problem here. Went to the grocery store and when i came back there was 3 sentry events when i tried to view the footage i couldn’t because the ssd was not working. Unplugged and re-plugged seems to be a temporary fix.
Even after that i couldn’t access the 3 sentry events.

I just tried a third USB stick, it wouldn’t allow me to FORMAT it, got the USB Error message again. So I just scheduled a Service Visit for May 19th.

Do you have Software 2022.12.3.2 installed? If not you may want to wait until it is as others have said it fixed this issue.

Even with the latest update, i got another dashcam error (icon with x) yesterday and had to reformat my drive again and it worked again. Thought it solved the issue. I hate that i constantly have to check if the dashcam icon is a red circle or an x to be sure i'm always recording.
