I havent looked, but if i typically had a usb recording the front cam, does it now automatically record left and right as well. Are they 3 separate files or just 1 with 3 views?

Three separate files: Forward wide angle, left repeater, right repeater.

Note that it takes up 3x as much space too, so if you were using a very small USB key that might be an issue (especially if you use sentry mode much)

Also the cam doesn't seem to overwrite the files automatically once full, so you'll need to delete the files when the drive is full.

I thought it does overwrite in regular driving clips, or more specifically does not save unless you tap it to save. It's Sentry Mode clips that do not overwrite, no?

Correct, for reference, I left my car at the airport for 6.5 days with Sentry Mode on and it recorded 68GB worth of data.

I'm not sure on that, but either way deleting files is needed once in a while.

This is correct. Recent clips (saved 10 minutes by clicking the camera) are overwritten. Saved clips (Sentry) are not. If you fill up your drive it won't record any longer.

Not really. I didn't have any damage to the car or anything so didn't spend a lot of time going through each clip. But I was curious what would set off Sentry Mode (ie just cars driving by, or if people needed to be near the car), so I did look through a number of them. Most of the clips had a person near the car in the last full minute of the saved folder, but I did find one where no person was visible, just a car driving by, so I'm still not certain on when Sentry mode will actually trigger an event.
