I'm a new Roadster owner and trying to figure everything out... There's a lot to figure out :)
My dash readout says 98 Mi Range and my center console (while charging) says 125 mi Ideal Range.

The dash readout also says 1 AMPS... I am connected to a 12A 120V connection.

Can someone explain what I am looking at?

    thanks!

OK, so my son figured this one out... The touch screen was in ideal (I guess the dashboard is always set to estimated.)

But why does the dashboard say 1/2 Amps?

    thanks,
    Jordan

1A is the power draw when the car isn't doing anything...

That seems to be the minimum power the car draws while turned on. Lots of computers running, a couple of display screens, coolant pump, maybe some fans... It has nothing to do with the charging current. (At least on my 2.0; the current only shows on the dashboard when the car is on.)

I recommend to read the manual. It's important, this isn't an ICE and there's so much new to discover and understand.
