Dashboard Screen

Hello There

Has anyone else had their dashboard screen (not the MCU) start looking like there is liquid in it? It started at the bottom and now encircles the entire screen. It even looks like it's dripping at the bottom. I am way out of warranty so if anyone else has had this problem, let me know what it cost to have it repaired. Thanks.

Lol. Welcome to Tesla. This shouldve been voluntary recalled for how absurb it is. You will have to pay to get it fixed ASAP aka new MCU. eventually the goo and bubbles will.leak from the screen everywhere

So wait a second, for future reference, are you saying that this is not covered under warranty?

Keep in mind both screens are susceptible over time to failing this way (leaking), although the displays are still fully usable. You really should consider an MCU2 upgrade. In addition to the new faster MCU, and new features, you get both screens replaced with newer higher resolution screens that will not have the leaking issue. These use a different screen design that does not have a liquid layer. Note that you will lose AM radio, and if you want to continue with FM/XM, there is an additional fee to switch from the analog to digital radio (the analog radio is not compatible with MCU2).
