Dashcam - Cannot play files

My dashcam files are recording fine, but cannot play them on my pc, tried numerous media players and none of them play the files...I had the V10 update yesterday and this seems to have been happening since it installed.
Has anybody else had similar issues?

Files are now playing using VLC which is good but notice I have many recorded files at just 1kb, this is maybe normal but I have like 120 clips at this size each day it records.

The few-kB clips occurred on one USB drive I used in my Model S with V9. I don’t get them now, but I assumed it was just a recording glitch.

@Rooster6655 May be right that you need to stop recording before removing the USB to avoid corrupted files.

I’d suggest: review the time stamps on the clips - if they’re any time then consider trying another USB drive to see if they occur with that. If they do then reset the MCU and see if they reoccur. If they do then check with service.

As they’re only a few kB in size they don’t make much difference space-wise. But they are annoying and untidy.

Same, I've moved to SD card now so will see if it still occurs but ejecting the usb is a must to prevent corrupted footage
