Dashcam - manual mode - no record button on screen with sentry mode disabled

Hello,

Newb question here...

In my 2023 Model 3, with sw version 2022.44.100, I'd like to keep Sentry mode disabled but have the ability to save/record dash cam footage on-demand (via manual mode/option), does anyone know if this is possible?

It doesn't seem the case. With Sentry mode disabled, but dash cam in manual mode, I don't see a recording button on the top of the map to press on to save recent footage.

Thanks in advance

The button at the top is for enabling or disabling sentry mode. To save a dashcam clip manually, put the dashcam icon in the launcher at the bottom and then touch it when you want to save a clip. Here is the manual section about this: Model 3 Owner's Manual | Tesla

Also see this thread that explains how sentry mode and dashcam work together and what each one does: Dashcam / Sentry: How they work and what they do (and dont) do
This does the trick! Thanks everyone
