Dashcam not recording

Sorry if it’s been discussed to death but we just started using the USB dashcam. After formatting the USB, the dashcam would record just fine for the first drive. However, when left the car and came back, the dashcam icon would be crossed out and it would no longer record. What’s the solution? Thanks for your input.

What firmware version is on your Model 3?

Try a different USB drive. It seems to be picky on what drives it likes.

my guess would be that your flash drive got corrupted. Try reformatting it. If the problem persists try a different flash drive. I use this one and I've had no issues with it.

I had the same issue when I 1st set mine up. I was using an older flash drive originally but ended up picking up a new one This is the one I'm current;y using and haven't an issue since.

Plug the USB drive into a Windows machine and let the computer repair it. Sometimes the file system will get corrupt.

I have this same recurring problem on my X. I keep repairing the drive, and it works for a day or two, and then it's corrupt again.

Switching USB drives doesn't help; USB drives that work fine in my 3 have this problem in my X. Including a tiny Sandisk that I bought on Amazon specifically because a lot of people here said it worked for them.
