Thought I would open a thread for everyone with a Model Y to add thiers dashcam installs instead of everyone starting their own thread.
If someone already did this and I missed it, sorry about that LOL.
In any case, I just installed a blackvue 2 Channel CSM with Cellink battery pack. The reason I installed it was A) The built in one does miss or has corrupt clips from time to time.
And more importantly
B) I have one collecting dust :
Since the MY does have a fuse box and others have installed thiers using the 12v in center console, I decided to give things a go. Lucky for me, the wires for the BV are long! I was able to wire both front and back cams and connect them to the battery pack in the trunk. All wires are pretty much hidden with some fine tuning to be done later. But all and all its done, working and doesn't look that bad.
Yes it takes away from the minimal look a little and the rear cam connection needs addressing, but at he very least, and for demonstrational purposes, I think it's fine
