I took delivery of my model 3 performance+ last week and realized I never recieved my die cast model of my car....did anyone actually get one with their performance+...or did my white seats have anything to do with it?
I was a Day One and I didn't receive one either and was told they ran out. Delivery Centers, least in my area, have been giving them out haphazardly to anyone being delivered a Model 3 whether they were Day One Reservations or not which resulted in them running out. It might be the same case as your delivery center.
They ran out at the Boston delivery center (Dedham, MA) as well. Annoying, as this is my third Tesla - especially if it's true they were randomly giving them out. I complained about it in the comments on my delivery survey.
Interesting how this company has trained us. We routinely shrug and patiently overlook the missed deadlines, the variations between promises and actual feature details (or entire features), wait in lines without expectation, get promised gifts for having waited, gifts get delayed and sometimes disappear. Still waiting for my '13's fix for third-row air flow.
This is the Tesla mentality, they do not get or value the customer experience which will not be tolerated by many main stream buyers down the road. There is an attitude that one must be grateful they received their car and that is good enough. There are thousands of people promised many things they never received and Tesla thinks it's a non issue. There is something really wrong with the culture in Tesla that makes them seem this is some sort of accepted new business practice. I get better customer service now from Amazon which used to be a no customer service platform. Tesla absolutely looses many sales because of this perception and reality and many die hard Tesla "fans" put disclaimers to their recommendations to mitigate backlash from friends and family in case they have one of these bad experiences. As a shareholder and owner I find this both avoidable and unacceptable. Sometimes I think they have managers here that came from some tech company with limited real world experience or a glass ceiling were upper management does not see what is really happening.
It is take or leave it, mainly b/c there are other customers waiting to buy the product. I like the tech company analogy (like google) vs luxury car. A
I hear ya, but for all the "Tesla killers" nothing came close to the SR $35K price point. I even waited 3 years I will cross-shop the SR Y with others at that price point and see....
Since you mention it... wonder if they will have a Model Y toy. For the record: I got a toy Model 3 with my P3D+. (Arguably the first MIC)
No, they were the red ones being given away for reservation holders. He just kept putting another one in the car every time he came back through... Sales are actually the only guys I have had a good experience with. Service has been very poor.
