Blah... They screwed up, screwed you, wasted your time which probably cost you $$$ -and- got another $1,000 out of you?
People here who complain about dealerships should take notice. There are too many issues like yours going on.
Oh, please, dealers do the same things and worse. My experience is they try to screw EVERYONE that comes through the door. At least with Tesla is usually just an occasion problem with the car itself.
I had the same problem when I went pick up at tesla store. Looks like the car got washed/wiped with rag that made excessive swirls not just one place but all over the car. It is end is year almost and they didn’t offer a solution other than buffing and take as is. Now I am stuck. See the attached pictures showing level of lines/scratches/swirls.
yea, the techs working there apparently don't think the cars need to be washed before polishing, or they polish them with dirty towels. I can see swirls on my white car on one panel, must have cleaned it with a dirty microfiber.
You guys did the right thing in declining the car if it did not meet your expectations or had excessive paint defects.
OP is right in rejecting the car. Why are Tesla should outsource all detailing to an external company / specialist detailers who actually know what they are doing. This kind of thing is happening far too much
