    ??? It seems to have 1 on motor code... 3 is the factory code.

    SFZRE2B16B3000481
    SFZ - Tesla manufacturer string for Hethel, UK built cars
    SFZRE - Roadster Convertible=RE
    SFZRE2 - region code (2=LHD Europe)
    SFZRE2B - restraint system type B
    SFZRE2B1- Motor type 1 (1=Tesla M6B base) <===
    SFZRE2B16 - Check digit
    SFZRE2B16B - B=2011
    SFZRE2B16B3 - Factory - 3=Hethel, UK

    It is missing a digit. It should have a 3 after the A in case you haven't figured that out yet.

    Have you determined when the SFZ Roadsters started to get the 2.5 upgrades?

    Yes, I had already concluded the real VIN must be SFZRE2B19A3000375
    and they misprinted the VIN sticker on that one...

    2.5 changover happed at SFZRE2B12A3000282
    ( #281 was 2.0, #283 was 2.5... I am not sure which look is on #282 )
