Got final MVPA and VIN number 8/16/18. VIN 064xxx
Delivered!! I took delivery of my AWD on Tuesday the 14th as originally scheduled and it's been excellent!! I have very high expectations and was ready to reject delivery if necessary, but thankfully didn't have to. There were a few very minor things, 1 side of the frunk was a mm or 2 below the other side, that was fixed on the spot by the delivery specialist by a few turns of the "standoff" that the frunk rests on. The car was pulling slightly, but after adjusting the tire pressure (they had them all over the map) so all tires are the same (42psi per the door jamb) straight as an arrow now.
And thats ... it... I was expecting much worse and am absolutely delighted to not find anything. I keep checking it to ensure I didn't "miss something" and it keeps passing with flying colors. There is plenty of worry and stories about delivery problems, but hopefully this can help to be a +1 in the direction of "delivery can be problem free as well!"
The Blue is just stunning! Very happy with it! It is very much a worthy successor of my old 2002 VW Passat
Much better sans aero-rims, but a bit washed out so you can't see the 'niceness' of the blue so I attached both

Seems like the white interiors are now going through... maybe I should have gone for that, oh well...

It could be something as mundane and stupidly boring as waiting on the supplier of blue paint to deliver more product.
It's also possible that the paint supplier changed, which would line up with the subtle change to how they represent the color on product pages showing it as a slightly lighter shade of blue.

not sure blue is delayed. more likely other config
my friends just got two of them. one guy got a P with white int
the other awd black int.
this is in the last 7 days.
P+ with black int is the wait and they are starting to get vins and delivery dates now ..so that’s good news

The profitability aspect I think is very true which is why I'm debating adding FSD now versus waiting til delivery and adding it after VIN assignment... A bit of a gamble...
