The spoiler is OEM from the factory on performance model S

You can opt out of it.
Its a free option you tick when building your car.
Well at least that is how it was for mine.

As for removing it after being installed, i wouldn't.
You're pretty much gaurentee'd to rip the paint right off your trunk.
My Xpel Installer said that they did not touch the spoiler and wraped around it, because Tesla's paint job is by far one of the worst, and trying to remove that spoiler after its been set is pretty much asking for your trunk to get repainted.

So if you really do not like it, just opt out of not having it installed when you build your car.

I had my spoiler removed when PPF was installed. No issues with the paint.
